Does anything fetch llms.txt?

This site publishes an llms.txt and logs every request to it with the user agent and the date, so the question of whether anything actually reads the file is answered from server logs rather than from opinion. The hypothesis is that fetches will be rare and dominated by SEO crawlers and curiosity tools. No result yet. It will be published either way, and a negative result is the more likely one.

Why this is being tested

Ground llms.txt discussion in observed fetch behavior.

Published with the method before the result, because a conclusion announced without a stated method, on a sample nobody can see, is an opinion with a number attached.

No result yet. The file ships with launch; the first log summary will be posted after a full month of production traffic.

Hypothesis

Fetches will be rare and dominated by curiosity tools and SEO crawlers, with little traffic from the AI platforms the file nominally addresses.

Method

Publish /llms.txt on this site, accurate and framed as experimental.
Log all requests to the path with user agent and date from server or CDN logs.
Publish the fetch log summary here at intervals.

Limitations

One low-traffic site; absence of fetches is weak evidence about wider adoption.

Replicating this

Trivially replicable on any site with access to request logs.

What this means for an operator

Log requests to /llms.txt on your own site for a month. It settles the question for you in an afternoon of setup.
